"Parking was surprisingly easy, we found a spot right outside and were instantly greeted by Chairman and CEO - Shabir Hussain who warmly welcomed us into his Award Winning Akbar's - The Restaurant."

"for Pat, who decided to dispense with cutley and go in with his hands, which entertained Shabir. He laughed and said that this was the best way to enjoy a chop! Pat declared his starter as the best Tandoori Chops that he had tasted in a very, very long time. I did manage to swap a tikka or two, so can confirm that they were perfectly cooked and quite delicious!"

"We ate, 'Meat Balti  - tender lamb cooked with ginger, garlic, onions, tomatoes, capsicums and chillies to a general Baltistan taste,' with, 'Palak and Paneer Balti  - spinach and Indian cheese cooked in a spicy sauce and garnished with coriander,' which was wonderful. How did Shabir know that I am a cheese fan? The paneer was cut into good sized squares and was firm but soft, served with a side of, 'Balti Dhal Tarka - lentils cooked in balti with fresh coriander,' which had a stiffish texture, meaning it was perfect for scooping up with the Naan. All dishes were authentically and robustly spiced. Just as we like them."
